Hi, my name is Tilly Treuren and I was born and raised in the Netherlands. I attended the Art Academy in Rotterdam where I received a formal education in fine art, which created a foundation for my evolving style. From an early age I loved drawing and painting, but truly blossomed as an artist after my move to California, especially while living in Santa Barbara. Currently I call the French Riviera my home.

My love for (intense) sunlight is reflected in my use of color. I am always experimenting with new techniques and unusual color combinations. My intuition guides me on how to capture the energy of a field of flowers, a burro in a field, or a bouquet of flowers. I mainly paints animals and flowers, and love portraiture, as well

I find great joy and comfort in painting flowers and animals, especially in the last couple of years, they are beautiful, colorful and they touch my emotions. I aspire to elevate the senses and lift you, the viewer to a place where life is less complicated and more nourishing. Painting is where I express my deepest joy, which I hope is felt by you.
